Monday, Jan. 31
Fraud. 9 a.m. 500 block of Seaview Street. Another apparent victim in the credit-card skimming investigation claimed a $177 loss.
Vandalism. 9:45 a.m. 900 block of Laguna Canyon Road. An incident of road rage resulted in the driver of one vehicle hurling anti-gay epithets and a brick at another vehicle, which drove to the police department to report the incident.
Identify theft. 10:14 a.m. 31000 block of Ceonothus. A credit card holder received $850 worth of merchandise she had not ordered delivered to her home but addressed to another. Her statement showed someone else used her account to make unauthorized purchases.
Traffic stop. 1:13 p.m. Coast Highway. Lamar Vanness was arrested for an outstanding warrant and held for $20,000 bail.
Tuesday, Feb. 1
Threats. 3:46 p.m. 2900 Laguna Canyon Road. An employer was notified about conflicting statement made by two workers over threats against each other.
Grand theft. 5:52 p.m. 100 block of Cedar Way. Boxes including personal items and a television valued at $7,000 were briefly left in a driveway and were taken.
Traffic stop. 11:55 p.m. 200 block of Broadway. A Sebastopol man was arrested for DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior arrest.
Wednesday, Feb. 2
Drugs. 8:20 a.m. 625 Park Avenue. A 17-year-old male from Laguna Beach who is not an LBHS student was arrested for suspicion of supplying Ecstasy, cocaine and LSD.
Fraud. 8:30 a.m. 400 block of Linden Street. Someone has made $10,000 in unauthorized charges to a business credit card still in the owner’s possession.
Probation search. 5:59 p.m. 21000 block of Ocean Vista Drive. Joseph Nicolette Jr., 63, was arrested for a probation violation when a firearm was found in his home. Bail was set at $20,000.
Thursday, Feb. 3
Occupied vehicle. 11:23 p.m. Alta Laguna Park. Officers on foot patrol arrested an Anaheim man for allegedly possessing brass knuckles.
Friday, Feb. 4
Burglary. 8:50 a.m. Encinitas Court. Someone apparently had stolen a prescription bottle of Vicodin from an unlocked home and attempted to get it refilled.
Petty theft. 12:16 p.m. 1200 block of Anacapa Court. A GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked car.
Traffic stop. 10:34 p.m. Myrtle Street. A 27-year-old Needles man was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Traffic stop. 11:24 p.m. Beverly Street. A 33-year-old Anaheim man was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Traffic stop. 11:41 p.m. 200 block of Forest Avenue. Paul Islas, 22, was pulled over for a traffic violation was found to lack a license or ID, but was arrested for allegedly possessing phony residency documents. He was held for $50,000 bail.
Saturday, Feb. 5
Traffic stop. 12:18 a.m. Coast Highway. A 49-year-old Laguna Beach man was arrested for DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior conviction.
Traffic stop. 1:15 a.m. 1400 S. Coast Highway. A 42-year-old Rancho Santa Fe woman was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Traffic stop. 1:24 a.m. West Street. Lewis Vincent Suarez, 48, of Aliso Viejo, was arrested for DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior conviction.
Traffic stop. 3 a.m. Bluebird Canyon Drive. A Mission Viejo man, 27, was arrested for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Burglary. 2:13 p.m. 31000 block of Coast Highway. A back door was reported broken. Unclear if anything is missing.
Sunday, Feb. 6
Traffic stop. 1 a.m. 200 block of Ocean Avenue. A 44-year-old LaVerne man was cited for DUI and held for $2,500 bail.
Traffic stop. 1:51 a.m. Cedar Way. A 25-year-old Irvine man was cited for DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior similar arrest.
Traffic stop. 1:15 p.m. 30600 block of Coast Highway. David Bradley Sewell, 43, of Dana Point, cited for a traffic violation was arrested for two outstanding warrants.
