Traffic stop. West Street. 12:40 a.m. A 40-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man was cited for DUI.

Saturday, Feb.10

Suspicious vehicle. 1000 block of Coast Hwy. 2:26 p.m. Mathew Phillip Robinson, 32, of Laguna Niguel, was arrested on a warrant for allegedly possessing a controlled drug without a prescription.

Disorderly person. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. 10:43 p.m. Eli Richard Lopiccola, 45, who lacks a permanent address and was described as an argumentative patient, was arrested for trespass and 14 outstanding warrants, 11 of them for allegedly being drunk in public.

Friday, Feb.9

Theft. 300 block of Lookout Drive. 8 p.m. Amazon packages with contents valued at $120 were taken.

Traffic stop. 18-00460. 200 block of Ocean Ave. 11:15 p.m. Annette Marie Richardson, 47, of Costa Mesa, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and was held for $10,000 bail due to a prior offense.

Traffic stop. Jasmine St. 11:20 p.m. An 18-year-old Corona del Mar teen was arrested for DUI.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

Hit and run. 700 block of Summit Drive. A pedestrian suffered abrasions and complaints of pain when hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.

Sexual battery. PD. 8 p.m. A sexual battery inquiry is underway as a result of an allegation by a resident that occurred in town.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

Traffic stop. 300 block of Cliff Dr. 3 a.m. A 22-year-old Anaheim man was cited for DUI and his 24-year-old companion from Irvine arrested for a warrant.

Monday, Feb. 5

DUI. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. 12 noon. As a result of a traffic collision, a 22-year-old Dana Point man was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

Grand theft. 900 block of Acapulco Street. Contractors caused $1,000 in damage to planters and property walls in January.

Fraud. PD. 7 p.m. Two days earlier, someone opened a credit card in a resident’s name and charged $5,000 worth of goods.

 

Correction:

Based on information from the police log, the Indy edition of Feb. 15 reported that a 72-year-old Laguna Beach woman had been arrested for DUI on Feb. 9 after police stopped her for driving without headlights. Ultimately, Sgt. Jim Cota confirmed she was released without charges after completing a blood alcohol test, which showed her to be under the legal limit.
