Petty theft. 200 block of Broadway St. Noon. Police arrested Jerald Cousian, 47, of Laguna Beach, for suspicion of robbery after he was flushed from hiding in an apartment complex. Cousian, who earlier had allegedly shoplifted items from two stores, also allegedly took a swing at a store employee who asked to see a receipt. Bail was set at $100,000.
Petty theft. 300 block of S. Coast Hwy. 12:38 p.m. A bar patron, who left her purse unattended while on the dance floor, discovered someone took her wallet and made $220 in charges using her credit cards.
Ecological enforcement. Table Tock Beach. 1:38 p.m. Five people spearfishing in a no-take marine conservation area were issued citations by a patrolling marine protection officer. The log says they were in possession of rock scallops, seabass and sheephead.
DUI. Canyon Acres. 9 p.m. A 41-year-old Irvine motorist who was observed driving erratically was cited for DUI.
Tuesday, Nov. 24
Medical. 1900 block of Park Ave. 10:17 a.m. A bicyclist who lost control and struck a curb sustained scratches, but was not hospitalized.
Animal calls. 500 block of Cress St. 1:44 p.m. Two ill dogs were treated by a vet, who thinks they were poisoned, the pet owner reported.
Wednesday, Nov. 25
Pedestrian stop. 15-04473. 200 block of Ocean Ave. 12:16 a.m. A driver under 21 was cited DUI.
Thursday, Nov. 26
Traffic stop. Forest Ave. 1:41 a.m. Sara Soriano, 49, of Laguna Niguel, was cited for suspicion of DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior offense.
Medical. 600 block of Glenneyre St. 12:28 p.m. A 10-year-old wearing a helmet fell from a skateboard and cut his hand. He was released to his parents.
Camping violation. 31100 block of Coast Hwy. 3 p.m. Tracy Lynn Olzer, 53, of Dana Point, was arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor assault after she allegedly threw the contents of a beer can on an officer instead of dumping the contents out as instructed.
Friday, Nov. 27
Battery. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. 12:30 p.m. A woman with visible injuries said two other women had jumped her the night before. Detectives will investigate the assault.
Petty theft. 900 block of Temple Terrace. 1:53 p.m. Several unauthorized purchases have been made with credit cards taken from an unlocked vehicle.
Traffic collision. Upland Dr. 5 p.m. Four people were injured in a two-car collision that toppled a utility pole and shut Coast Highway for 45 minutes.
Fight. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 8:44 p.m. Dionta Jamar Ellison, 32, of Laguna Beach, was charged with suspicion of felony assault following a dispute where hair clippers were wielded like a weapon.
Saturday, Nov. 28
Traffic stop. Broadway St. 12:12 a.m. An 18-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI and released to a Uber driver.
Suspicious circumstances. 1300 block of Circle Way. 4:24 a.m. Police used a taser to subdue a nude male, who emerged with a bat in hand from a residence he had broken into. He was placed on a mental evaluation hold and hospitalized.
Stalking. 800 block of Cliff Dr. 11 p.m. An ex-boyfriend, who said he was out for a walk, was spotted hiding in bushes.
Sunday, Nov. 29
Assault with a deadly weapon. 600 block of S. Coast Hwy. 12:05 a.m. Police are unable to flush out a suspect who allegedly hit and injured another person with a plate and then fled.
Traffic stop. 600 block of S. Coast Hwy. 1:17 a.m. George Lee Modlin, 28, of Covina, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and held for $10,000 bail due to a prior offense.
Traffic stop. Fourth Ave. 1:40 a.m. A 45-year-old Laguna Niguel man was cited for DUI.
