Stolen vehicle. 300 block of Jasmine St. 9:28 a.m. Susan Pinto, 65, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for unlawfully taking a vehicle in a case still under investigation.
Wednesday, April 20
Fire. 600 block of N. Coast Hwy. 12:03 a.m. Juan Antonio Martinez Monterroso, 26, of San Clemente was arrested for suspicion of unlawfully lighting a fire outside a store.
Suspicious. 600 block of N. Coast Hwy. 7:17 a.m. Matthew Brady, 35, of Rockville, N.Y., who informed police he intended to rob a store, was arrested for suspicion of attempted robbery. Bail was set at $100,000.
Vehicle burglary. 1400 block of Hillcrest Dr. 9:30 a.m. Items were taken from two vehicles over night.
Vehicle burglary. 20100 block of Laguna Canyon Dr. 1:14 p.m. A purse was stolen from a vehicle where a window was broken.
Traffic collision. Irvine Cove. 7:12 pm. Following the report of a couple fleeing after a traffic accident, police questioned and arrested two people at a nearby bus stop. Jose Blancoquiles, 23, of Bealton, Va., was arrested for outstanding warrants and Miranda Alexandria Cennamo, 23, of Huntington Beach, was arrested for allegedly impersonating another.
Traffic collision. El Toro Rd. 8:40 p.m. The driver of a vehicle that rammed a phone pole complained of pain. The cause is under investigation.

Fraud. 28700 block of Top of the World. 1:43 p.m. The victim received a letter from a creditor saying his personal information was used to open an account.
Automated license plate reader. Laguna Canyon Road. 2:21 p.m. Abdalla Elbeih, 30, of Laguna Hills, was arrested for suspicion of auto theft for failing to return a rental car last month.
Drunk driving. City limits north. 9:25 p.m. A 29-year-old Costa Mesa man was cited for DUI in the wake of reports about a vehicle swerving into opposing traffic.

Traffic stop. Aggot. 1:40 a.m. A 45-year-old Laguna Beach woman was cited for DUI.
Battery. 1200 block of S. Coast Hwy. 1:43 a.m. Michael Joseph Connor, 26, of San Jose, was arrested for suspicion of battery and false identification after a victim, who was struck in the face, lost consciousness. The incident occurred in the drive-thru lane. Bail was set at $25,000.
Vandalism. 2900 block of Alta Laguna Blvd. 9:21 a.m. A resident reported that a tree was cut down in her backyard over night.
Foot patrol. 300 block of Broadway St. 9:22 a.m. Rhonda Diane Metoyer, 56, of Los Angeles, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Traffic collision. 9:54 a.m. Laguna Canyon Rd. One person required medical treatment as a result of a two-car collision that closed the roadway for an hour and whose cause is under investigation.
Reckless driving. 2200 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 1:45 p.m. As a result of reports about an erratic driver, Marina Nevarez Chavez, 50, of Santa Ana, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Reckless driving. Laguna Canyon Rd. 6:33 p.m. Kenneth John Stetter, 50, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of felony DUI, though no further details were available.
Fraud. 30800 block of Coast Hwy. 10:16 p.m. A resident reported an IRS scam and the loss of $300.
Traffic stop. Broadway St. 10:26 p.m. A 50-year-old Irvine man was cited for DUI.

Hit and run. S. Coast and Oak St. 9:47 a.m. A suspect was located in a hit and run collision.
Petty theft. 600 block of Sleepy Hollow. 9:51 a.m. A $600 handgun was stolen from a valet-parked truck.
Trespassing. 600 block of S. Coast Hwy. 12:59 p.m. A transient, wanted for a warrant, was arrested after locking himself in an empty hotel room.
Fraud. 300 block of Pinecrest Dr. 7:37 p.m. A resident reported fraudulent charges on a credit card.
Traffic stop. Calliope 9:18 p.m. A 30-year-old Napa man was cited for DUI.

Traffic stop. 2222 Laguna Can yon Rd. 1:44 a.m. A 23-year-old Santa Ana man was cited for DUI.
Suspicious person. 1700 Del Mar Ave. 3 a.m. Adam Tarek Hafiz, 21, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of felony vandalism following reports of a man hitting vehicles with a board.
Traffic collision. Vista Del Sol. 11:52 a.m. Witness reported an erratic driver prior to a collision with a monument sign in the median. One person was injured.
Assault. 200 block of Ocean Ave. 6:43 p.m. A worker who was slapped by a co-worker wants to press charges.
Hit and run. Forest Ave. 8:30 p.m. Police arrested Douglas James Stihl, 57, of Laguna Beach, for suspicion of DUI at his home after a hit and run collision. A witness provided police with a license number.
Drunk driving. S. Coast Hwy. 9:46 p.m. A 40-year-old United Kingdom visitor hit a parked car and was arrested for DUI.
