Fraud. 700 block of Cliff Dr. 2:18 p.m. Somneone opened a bank account in the victim’s name.
Wednesday, May 4
Sleeper. 1200 block of N. Coast Hwy. 7:42 a.m. Jonathan Ken Lain, 46, of Long
Beach, who had left his property scattered around the vehicle where he slept, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Missing person. 800 block of Emerald Bay. 7:32 p.m. A 17-year-old boy who left a note saying he will return in three days remains missing a week later. An investigation is underway.
Thursday, May 5
Traffic stop. 200 block of Legion St. 2:33 a.m. Reports are incomplete, but an officer detained three occupants of a vehicle after finding potentially stolen items. Madeline Meri Milburn, 19, of San Bernardino, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Suspicious person. 16-01725. Diamond St. 7:24 p.m. Francisco Sanchez Arteaga, 36, of Dana Point, was arrested on a no-bail warrant for drug charges.
Missing person. 1400 block of Cerritos Dr. 10:38 a.m. A 17-year-old has not returned home. A detective is following up.
Fraud. 300 block of Cliff D.r. 2:16 p.m. Pressured by a woman claiming to be an IRS official, a resident deposited $5,000 into a bank account, recognizing a scam only after receiving another $3,750 demand.
Drunk driving. Laguna Canyon Rd. 10:30 p.m. In the wake of a report of a vehicle swerving, Alexander Madre Connors, 24, of Glendora, was cited for possession of a controlled substance.
Friday, May 6
Traffic stop. 30600 block of Coast Hwy. 12:39 a.m. A 28-year-old Irvine woman was cited for DUI.
Saturday, May 7
Pedestrian stop. 300 block of Ocean Ave. 12:06 a.m. Charles Emmett Anderson, 35, of Lake Forest, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on felony charges.
Traffic stop. 600 block of Laguna Can yon Rd. 12:14 a.m. A 40-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI.
Medical. Lynx Trail. 9:34 a.m. Medics were required to assist a biker with possible broken ribs who flipped over the bike’s handle bars.
Petty theft. 31900 block of Coast Hwy. 3:50 p.m. A $600 camera was taken from a beach-goer.
Sunday, May 8
Fight. 800 block of S. Coast Hwy. 5:33 p.m. Police detained three teens, including two 15-year-olds from Laguna Beach, in the wake of a fight where others fled.
Monday, May 9
Battery. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. 4:47 a.m. A male patient attacked a nurse in the emergency room, causing her to hit her head on the wall.
