Fraud. 1100 block of Crabbe Way. 8 a.m. A resident sent $450 for jewelry that never arrived.

Tuesday, July 12

Trespassing. 900 block of Glenneyre St. 2 p.m. Joseph Robert Kirkpatrick, 51, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of felony resisting arrest, assault and bringing meth into jail. Kirkpatrick, agitated when awakened in an underground parking lot, allegedly spit in the face of an officer trying to detain him after he grabbed several rocks. Bail was set at $20,000.

Disturbance. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 4:50 p.m. Jonah Boehmer Castaneda, 22, of Lakewood, was arrested for bench warrants.

Overdose. 400 block of Bent St. 9:16 p.m. A 27-year-old man was discovered dead of a suspected drug overdose.

Suspicious person. 200 block of Ocean Ave. 11:29 p.m. Terry Dwayne Sanders, 38, of Vallejo, was arrested for several warrants.

Wednesday, July 13

Petty theft. 31100 block of Coast Hwy. 10:54 a.m. Khalifa Imam, 21, of Anaheim, was arrested for suspicion of grand theft after he allegedly stole a backpack containing electronics valued at $1,750. Bail was set at $20,000.

Thursday, July 14

Disturbance. 100 block of Cozumel 12:37 a.m. A 50-year-old Laguna Beach man was arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence.

DUI. 600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 8:43 p.m. A 58-year-old Laguna Niguel woman was arrested for DUI after colliding with a parked car. No one was injured.

Burglary. 32400 block of Coast Hwy. 6 a.m. Adrian Casillas, 34, of San Juan Capistrano, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for driving on a suspended license after a resident reported that an intoxicated man was pounding on his door.

Friday, July 15

Grand theft. Bent St. 3:11 p.m. The owner of a car reported that a person known to her stole $3,000 from under the front passenger seat.

Rape. 1100 block of Coast Hwy. 4:17 p.m. A woman believes she was drugged and sexually assaulted after leaving a bar in town in the previous week.

Traffic stop. Glenneyre St. 6:32 p.m. A 26-year-old San Clemente woman was cited for DUI.

Traffic collision. Cleo St. 10:02 p.m. Details were unavailable, but a collision occurred between a pedestrian and a trolley.

DUI. Third Avenue. 10:11 p.m. Subsequent to a report about an erratic driver, a 28-year-old Costa Mesa man was arrested for DUI.

Saturday, July 16

Traffic stop. 200 block of N. Coast Hwy. 12:34 a.m. A 31-year-old from Goodlettesville, Tenn., was arrested for DUI.

Missing swimmer. 300 block El Paseo. 7:25 a.m. An all-hands search for an 8-year-old boy, which included mobilizing rescuers on sea and land, concluded 40 minutes later when the child was discovered in a beach restroom.

Hit and run. 300 block of Forest Ave. 9:36 a.m. A motorcyclist reported being struck on the leg by a motorist that failed to stop.

Petty theft. 31600 block of Virginia Way. 7:35 p.m. Art work valued at $5,000 was allegedly stolen by a known suspect.

Traffic stop. Goff St. 11:44 p.m. Vanessa Wilson, 24, of Colton, who had eight outstanding warrants, was arrested on new charges, including suspicion of auto theft. Anthony Vincent Flores, 22, of San Bernardino, was arrested for a warrant and a new charge for suspicion of drug possession. Justin Ryan Kimbro, 25, also of San Bernardino, was also arrested for suspicion of auto theft and drug charges as well as outstanding warrants.

Sunday, July 17

Disturbance. 1200 block S. Coast Hwy. 2:19 a.m. Henry Wade Smith, 25, of Dana Point, was arrested for felony battery after officers reviewed a video of a fight between three men inside a fast-food restaurant. The victim was kicked in the face and suffered a facial laceration. Bail was set at $25,000.

Drunk driving. Broadway St. 9:24 p.m. A 54-year-old Dallas woman was cited for DUI.

DUI. 100 block of Cress St. 11:40 p.m. A 23-year-old from Dallas was cited for DUI.

Burglary. 200 block of Ocean Ave. 4:44 a.m. An inventory is underway to determine losses from a break-in.
