Traffic stop. 700 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. After failing to yield to police and a short foot pursuit, officers arrested Oscar Mendoza, 24, of Palmdale, for multiple charges, including allegedly possessing stolen license plates.
Fraud. 400 block of Jasmine St. A resident who responded to an eBay ad for a car wired $37,000 for its purchase and later learned of hacking of the dealership’s computers.
Fraud. S. La Senda. 6:41 p.m. A resident’s identity was used to open a Verizon account and run up $700 in charges.

Pedestrian stop. 200 block of Broadway. Kyle James Rusher, 24, of Laguna Hills, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Wednesday, June 14
Rape. PD. 12:22 p.m. Detectives will look into a woman’s allegation that she was sexually assaulted in Laguna Beach, Santa Ana, Venice, and New York in 2013.
Robbery. 100 block of N. Coast Hwy. 3 p.m. Four juveniles from San Bernardino County were taken into custody and one charged with suspicion of robbery after he allegedly punched a gas station clerk and took his cell phone. The confrontation was over shoplifting beverages.

Stolen vehicle. 6:30 a.m. N. Coast Hwy. Police arrested Gildardo Oseguera, 29, of Anaheim, for suspicion of auto theft after he had stopped a stolen vehicle on the shoulder near Irvine Cove.
Pedestrian stop. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 9:57 a.m. Sadeghi Mottahereh, 59, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for warrants.
Grand theft. 200 block of Beach St. 1 p.m. Three months ago a resident paid $12,000 for unspecified products that never arrived.
Grand theft. PD. Telephone scammers attempted to extract money from a local restaurant without success.
Assault. 100 block of S. Coast Hwy. 2:59 p.m. A man jumped on the back of another who was asleep.
Welfare check. Second Ave. 4:23 p.m. A 55-year-old woman seen in the middle of the street in a hospital gown was arrested for warrants.

Traffic stop. 1600 block of Catalina St. 1:47 a.m. Justin Ryan Herbolic, 26, of Mission Viejo, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and held for $10,000 bail.
Traffic collision. Third St. 7:58 a.m. A bicyclist fell in a collision with a car.
Burglary. 31800 block of Circle Drive. 12:18 p.m. A resident reported a $500 loss on a check stolen from the home.
Fraud. 100 block of Chiquita St. 6:53 p.m. A resident purchased $2,600 in Walmart gift cards in response to a scam by a caller impersonating the IRS.

Traffic stop. 500 block of Broadway St. A 24-year-old Mission Viejo man was cited for DUI.
Robbery. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. 5:24 a.m. An Uber driver reported dropping a fare at the hospital who reported being robbed of $140 in cash and a credit card.
Burglary. 1400 block of N. Coast Hwy. Thieves broke into at least two locked vehicles, taking valuables that exceeded $2,000 from each vehicle.
Traffic collision. 31100 block of Coast Hwy. 7 p.m. A motorcyclist suffered leg injuries in a collision.
