DUI. Myrtle St. 1:10 a.m. A 22-year-old Irvine man was cited for DUI after his car plowed into a pole.
Traffic stop. 1:11 p.m. Charles Nathan Olsen, 47, was arrested for four outstanding Harbor Court drug-related warrants as well as new misdemeanor allegations, drug charges and providing police false information.
Saturday, Dec. 30
Traffic collision. 600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. Noon. A bicyclist escaped serious injury when hit by a car.
DUI. 2800 block of Wards Terrace. 1:23 p.m. Kurt Westgaard, 59, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his vehicle hit a hose valve at a home and fled the scene. Bail was $10,000 due to a second offense.
Medical. 1300 block of Gaviota Dr. 3:40 p.m. A male in his 20s lapsed into unconsciousness due to a heroin overdose. He was revived and transported.
DUI. 3:43 p.m. North Coast Hwy. Reports about an erratic driver led to the arrest of Curtis Michael Bowser, 24, of Dana Point, for suspicion of DUI, his second arrest in 10 years.
Traffic collision. Third Avenue. 5:41 p.m. Motorcyclist suffered minor injuries in a collision with a vehicle.
Burglary. 1200 block of Coronado Dr. Sometime in the previous week thieves pried open an exterior bedroom door and stole three firearms and an Xbox valued at $36,200.
Friday, Dec. 29
Traffic collision. Laguna Canyon Rd. 2:50 p.m. At least two people were injured in a collision that temporarily blocked all outbound lanes.
Fire. 300 block of Forest Ave. 3 p.m. Evacuations were ordered and utilities cut off in a fire at a commercial building.
Traffic stop. Solana Way. 10:37 p.m. Marvin Manolo Martinezpiril, 21, of Lake Forest, was cited for suspicion of DUI and driving on a suspended license.
Thursday, Dec. 28
Grand theft. 2100 block of Ocean Way. 8 a.m. A mountain bike and surfboard valued at $6,750 were taken from a garage, which had been entered through a possibly unlocked side door.
Vandalism. 31300 block of Coast Highway. 10:26 a.m. Three trees were cut.
Traffic stop. Myrtle St. 1:39 a.m. A 23-year-old Tustin man was cited for DUI.
Wednesday, Dec. 27
DUI. 1100 block of Temple Hills Dr. 1 p.m. A 53-year-old Newport Beach woman was cited for DUI after she rolled her car and was rescued by emergency responders.
Stolen vehicle. 3200 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 1 p.m. Two men took a resident’s for-sale ’99 Ford Expedition for a test drive and never returned. The pair was later arrested in Westminster.
Stolen vehicle. Laguna Canyon Rd. Allen Moreno, 23, of Anaheim, was arrested for suspicion of auto theft and held on a no-bail warrant for a parole violation. He was behind the wheel of a car stolen on Dec. 23 in Santa Ana.
Tuesday, Dec. 26
Grand theft. 100 block of Coast Hwy. 2 p.m. A purse and its contents valued at $1,000 was taken.
Monday, Dec. 25
Traffic stop. 30800 block of Coast Hwy. 1:55 p.m. A motorist who failed to yield to police eventually surrendered at gunpoint, but police determined the 40-year-old Mission Viejo man needed medical assistance and dropped the charges.
DUI. 900 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. 7:19 p.m.. Shane Barry Sullivan, 27, of Orange, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his vehicle hit a pole. His bail was $10,000 due to a second offense in 10 years.
