LCAD Honors Supporter Terry Smith

Laguna College of Art and Design’s spring fundraiser and art auction raised more than $60,000 from the sales of works donated by the estate of trustee Terry Smith as well as alumni, faculty and professional artists.

Artists Victor Hugo Zayas, Scott Yeskel, Bradford Salamon, Tom Lamb, Jeff Sewell, and Elizabeth McGhee donated to the auction.

“Terry and his partner, Wayne Peterson, were devoted supporters of our students and took great pride in filling their home with original art purchased at past Collector’s Choice galas,” said Jonathan Burke, president of LCAD. “I was fortunate enough to work closely with Terry on a number of projects over the years and each time I was struck by the quality of his intellect, by his selfless dedication, and by his passion for helping students.”
