Broadway Infuses Dinner With Local Flavor

The monthly wine dinner at Broadway by Amar Santana on Nov. 12, showcases Arrow and Branch wines from the Napa Valley vineyard of Laguna Beach residents Steve and Seanne Contursi.

The couple and their winemaker, Jennifer Williams, whose first vintage was produced in 1997, host the dinner that begins at 328 Glenneyre St. with a 6 p.m. champagne reception and hors d’oeuvres. A five-course menu paired with three wines follows.

Sapphire’s Chef Sharpens a New Gem

Adventurous chef and owner Azmin Ghahreman takes guests to his Sapphire restaurant in Laguna Beach on a global gourmet scavenger hunt without the need of a passport.

A new partnership with the luxury cruise line, Crystal Cruises, will now allow guests at sea to indulge in Ghahreman’s cuisine.

Ghahreman’s passion for international flavors has infused the menu at Tastes, the recently renovated restaurant on Crystal Serenity, the 1,070-passenger ship built in 2003. The dining space was redesigned as part of the ship’s $17 million dry dock makeover in 2013. Serenity will be the host vessel for Crystal’s Silver Anniversary World Cruise, which embarks from Miami on Jan. 14.

Azmin provided consultation on the open kitchen design, revamped interior and globally inspired menu.
