Laguna Beach residents Peri Brennan and Hallie Carballo captured their first beach gold medal competing for two consecutive weekends in the girls under 12 division of the California Beach Volleyball Association tournament in Huntington Beach.
The competition May 4 included a total of 27 teams. Peri and Hallie, Top of the World students, competed against seven teams to end up at the finals.
The pair is currently ranked ninth in the CBVA under 12 division.
