The Moon Police Return to Their Roots

The sounds of violinist Doug Miller, multi-instrumentalist Brent Samson and Shane Anderson on bass are returning at 7 p.m. on March 14, to Laguna’s Fellowship Hall, 429 Cypress Dr.

The Moon Police, an acoustic folk jazz ensemble play a blend of classic and bluesy music with lovely, quirky vocal harmonies and innovative melodic styles.

Last Free Film is An Award Winner

The Sundance Film Festival award-winning film “20,000 Days on Earth” wraps up the free Flicks at the Forum on Friday, March 6.

The 97-minute film chronicles the life of musician and international cultural icon Nick Cave and screens at the Forum Theater on the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Rd.

 

Curtain Goes Up on Classical Concert

A classical music concert featuring pianist Steven Vanhauwaert and violinist Guilaume Sutre of the Ysaye String Quartet takes place Sunday, March 8, at Irvine Valley College.

Tickets to the 7 p.m. concert at the college main stage costs $15.
