John Wayne’s Son Joins Book Signing
In support of Michael Goldman’s new book, “John Wayne: The Genuine Article,” the legendary actor’s son Ethan Wayne joins the author at a book signing event hosted by Laguna Beach Books at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 14.
The Duke’s fans can enjoy a question and answer session between Ethan Wayne and Goldman at this special, ticketed-signing-only event. Tickets, which include a copy of the book, are $55 and can be purchased at johnwayne.brownpapertickets.com. Space is limited. Refreshments will be served.

DimeStory Open Mic for Writers
Orange County’s next DimeStory Open Mic takes place this Sunday, July 14, at Laguna Culinary Arts. Authors are invited to the open mic to share three-minutes of their original prose with fellow writers and readers. Everyone is welcome to read and/or to listen.
DimeStory takes place every second Sunday at Laguna Culinary Arts, 845 Laguna Canyon Road, next to the Sawdust Festival. Sign-up is at 5 p.m.; readings begin at 5:30 p.m. Organizers request a voluntary $5 donation to help cover national membership costs and wine and cheese for the events.
