Last Thursday, April 2, was World Autism Awareness Day, and the Main Beach lifeguard tower glowed after sunset with blue lights, joining other cities that light up iconic buildings to raise awareness about autism. The tower will remain bathed in blue all month, says Liza Stewart and her son, Caden, 12, who has autism. They made their appeal to the City Council last week.
