World’s Fair: Music with Global Roots II

Laguna Beach Live! brings a free community concert at 10 a.m. Feb. 11, featuring artists from the Laguna Beach Music Festival, including Brooklyn Rider, one of the nation’s most prominent young quartets.

Jewels of Nature: Hummingbirds in Your Garden

A presentation on hummingbirds at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, will provide tips on attracting the birds. The cost is $10.

Mahjongg Wednesdays

Experienced Mahjongg players are invited to join a group that meets every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the game room. Tiles are provided.

Online Interactive Spanish Course

Spain’s Instituto Cervantes Spanish Virtual Classroom’s 16-week Spanish course, with both on-line lessons and in-class instruction with Liliana Llebaria, 2 p.m., Wednesdays through May 25. The cost is $150, payable in advance.

Beginners Bridge Lessons

Ann Cressman teaches beginners bridge for eight consecutive weeks, beginning on Friday, Feb. 18, for a cost of $95. Those interested should sign up as soon as possible.

Intermediate Bridge Lessons

This eight-week class is designed for players who want to brush up on their bridge skills, as well as for anyone who is continuing from previous Refresher Bridge classes. Registration and pre-payment are required. The cost is $95.

Floral Design Class

Floral design instructor Debby Neville offers a class at 3:30 p.m. Cost is $45 per class. On Feb. 11, students will create a Valentine’s Day arrangement, and on Feb. 18, students will create a garden design with a botanical trellis. Sign up in advance so enough materials are purchased.

Attention all Backgammon, Cribbage and Dominoes Players

If you are interested in playing backgammon, cribbage or dominoes, call and place your name on an interest list. Organizers are trying to schedule organized play.
