Laguna Beach High School sophomore Teague Hamilton won the 2011 West Coast Open Tennis Tournament in Lakewood over Memorial Day weekend.
Teague completed the tournament without dropping a set. The 7-5, 7-5 score in the final match over Hosep Orojian from Glendale, who had won two of the last three tournaments he entered and a finalist in the third, reflected the high level of tennis played for the title of champion.
Teague plays singles for the Laguna Beach Breakers, who last Wednesday lost their bid for the CIF Division IV Conference Championship in Claremont.
Teague has won every match in the CIF tournament leading up to this final match.
