SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please send community announcements, youth sports results and obituaries by Friday to be included in the following week’s publication to editor@lbindy.com. In addition, the public is welcome anytime to post community announcements in the event section of the paper’s website, www.lbindy.com.
Email submissions should include separate attachments of Word documents and jpg images, each named similarly.
Please include contact information for the author, the photographer’s name and caption information. Images should be no more than 300 dpi.

Letters to the Editor
Letters to the Editor have been a community right in Laguna Beach for a long time and this paper will provide space to all who wish to express their opinions in letters relating to local topics only.
We ask that you keep letters as brief as possible (500 words or less; 300 words would be most welcome) and we promise we’ll only edit when we feel it to be necessary.
We won’t publish letters about a local business – negative or positive – and we will not publish personal attacks on anyone that is not a public figure. We may see it necessary in the latter case to look into such letters before publishing.
The letter writer’s signature, (an email address will suffice) printed name, street address and phone number must be included – published letters will only use the writer’s name and city. Letters must be received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday although we will try to publish late-arriving letters where possible.
E-mail letters are preferred. If not, computer generated or typed letters are welcome. We may not always be able to type a handwritten letter – but we’ll try. Letters to the Editor can be emailed to: editor at lbindy dot com
