The human body project illustrates the sort of developmental responsiveness to the needs and interests of young adolescents that earned Thurston Middle School state recognition this month.

Jordan Leppo, Zack Washer, and Anthony Digenova, all 13,called their body project “Jonah” and point out organ function in 7th grade Human Body Project in Life Science class on anatomy at Thurston Middle School in Laguna Beach. Students were required to build a body with recycled items from the household to represent the different organ systems in the human body and how they function.
