Club Recruits New Volunteer Coordinator
The Boys & Girls Club welcomes a new volunteer coordinator, Leah Generoli.
Generoli comes from the club’s partnership with AmeriCorps. She will succeed Andrew Kincare, who is now pursuing graduate studies at UC San Diego.
Generoli hopes to step up volunteer involvement with the club by establishing relationships with individuals and businesses in the area.

Beltone Taps ZWO as Ad Agency
The Laguna Beach office of ad agency ZWO, of South Carolina, will lead the campaign for Beltone North America, a maker of hearing aids based in Chicago.

Development Department Adds Manager
Jim Pechous starts in the city’s Community Development Department as assistant director by month’s end, succeeding Ann Larson, who retired.
Pechous, a city planner with the City of San Clemente, has 30 years of public sector planning experience.
He holds a bachelor degree in environmental studies and geography from UC Santa Barbara.
In addition, Laguna’s principal planner, Scott Drapkin, has been promoted to planning manager, effective immediately, Director Gregg Pfost announced.
Drapkin has worked 19 years in the town’s planning division. He is currently working on a graduate degree in public administration.
Officer Receives Recognition
Officer Brian Clasby was honored by the Orange County Trauma Intervention Program at its recent Heroes with a Heart gala in Anaheim.
The nominations come from citizens.
The gala recognizes first responders who provide compassionate support to citizens in crisis.
