Editor,
I have heard it said that “We have waited so long. We have to do something regarding traffic”.
I agree and would like Laguna Beach to join the ever growing forward thinking cities and towns who are keeping cars on the periphery.
They are reducing the pollution of traffic by providing alternative transportation into the downtown areas and creating more pedestrian malls and foot traffic.
We already have a beginning with the success of our shuttle. Let’s build on that success and refine its convenience.
Let’s create a wonderful village entrance park without a parking garage and keep cars further out on the periphery. At the very least let us put the current plan to a vote of the public.
I appreciate your consideration and your dedication to our town.
