I’m not normally good about writing thank you notes, but I feel compelled to thank Sue and Bill Gross and the Gross Family Foundation for their very generous and important donation of $10 million to the Mission Hospital Laguna Beach emergency room.
While this is nominally a gift to the hospital, it is in reality a gift of health and hope to the people of Laguna Beach and surrounding areas who will benefit from having ready access to the new imaging technologies, expanded and enhanced facilities, and the provision of the emergency support services that are proposed.
I feel like this is a gift to me personally and to everyone else who lives in or visits the community and might at some point be in urgent need of medical care.
