I am proud to say that I have known Michele (Oliver) Hall for over 10 years. Michele has integrity, is highly intelligent and makes decisions based upon common sense. She is dedicated and loyal to her friends and family like no one else I have ever known.
In January of this year, my son Stephan was diagnosed with a rare and fast-growing form of lymphoma. The news was devastating for me and my family. After sharing the news with Michele, she immediately sprung into action and in her words, “circled the wagons.” She organized a team of our friends and began to plan a fundraiser to assist with any potential financial impact Stephan’s diagnosis would have upon his ability to work, etc. It was truly amazing to watch her in action.
She and her team gathered items to be purchased through the silent and live auctions, had food and wine donated from local businesses and restaurants, and advertised in local newspaper and on local radio programs. The fundraiser for Stephan was a huge success not only financially, but emotionally as well.
Stephan was surrounded by the love and support of our friends and neighbors, which could not have come at a better time as he was just beginning his fight against cancer with a series of brutal chemo treatments.
Gratefully, I am happy to report that my son Stephan is cancer free.
It is this kind of caring leadership and quick thinking that we need on our City Council. Michele knows how to rally the community and will get things done in a nonpartisan and effective way.
I am proud to call Michele my friend and urge you to vote for her on Nov. 4.
