Galleries Keep Art Walk Alive

As we begin this year, the First Thursdays Art Walk board would like to remind the community of its free monthly First Thursdays Art Walk events and all the opportunities to see a wide range of art work, meet artists and those involved in the arts locally, while socializing with friends and making the acquaintance of others.

What many in the community may not realize is that First Thursdays Art Walk is a non-profit organization supported through membership dues, grants and sponsorships. The organization invites all galleries in Laguna to be a part of First Thursdays Art Walk because each gallery’s monthly membership dues are critical to the continuation of this popular educational program, broadening the arts experience for all. It is quite frustrating for member galleries when non-member galleries remain open and take advantage of the marketing, promotion and free trolley service First Thursdays Art Walk provides.

So as the New Year begins, we ask that galleries who are not currently FTAW members, and who would like to participate in First Thursdays Art Walk please contact us at [email protected] for details on becoming a member. We would also like to extend an invitation to all community members and small businesses in Laguna to join us as sponsors to help us underwrite this spirited, community program.

We close with an expression of gratitude for our inspiring community and generous supporters and with hope of seeing more First Thursdays Art Walk membership participation in 2015.

Wishing you all a wondrous New Year!
