Groms will never “be gone”, that is the way God has designed life (“Groms be Gone, Mothering Heights, March 23). Every generation will raise another as we are fruitful and multiply the human race. I am one happy parent of a skateboarder who is growing up like I did, stoked to skate the hills of Laguna with his friends. As adults our responsibility is not to dismiss or condemn kids, but to show them a better way. A nicer theme to this story would be “Groms be taught” as the City has now legalized skateboarding with new safety requirements everyone should be aware of.
We all need to be supported & educated – not dismissed or wished away!
