Brooks Tredway Osborne, a 1998 graduate of LBHS, and his fiancé Sarah Elizabeth Monpere plan to marry Sept. 24, 2011.
The prospective groom and bride-to-be are both felony public defenders working in Contra Costa County in the Bay Area. They both have a strong commitment to social justice, particularly for those who are underserved by the criminal court system. They met while working at the Contra Costa County Public Defender’s Office.
Their wedding will take place at the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club designed by architect Bernard Maybeck.
Osborne graduated from UCLA in 2002 with an undergraduate degree in political science. He received his juris doctor degree from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2006.
Monpere grew up in Ukiah and graduated from Oakland’s Mills College in 2001. She earned her juris doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 2006.
The couple, both Spanish-speaking, will honeymoon in Argentina and afterward reside in Berkeley.
