Shortest Day Celebrated With Pagan Delights

BC Space invites all to its wintry celebration on the day of the solstice, Friday, Dec. 21. There will be a sunset gathering on Main Beach at 4 p.m. Then BC Space 235 Forest Ave. will open its doors at 5:30 p.m. for a potluck and performances beginning at 7:14 p.m.

The event features Laguna Beach poets John Gardiner and Mike Sprake, dance by JJ and the Habibis, and acoustic music by Arias Collins, Joe Forkan, and Eric Stoner.

Sapphire Offers Christmas Dining in or Out

Sapphire Laguna is holding a special Christmas Eve dinner Monday, Dec. 24 from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. at 1200 S. Coast Highway. Chef Azmin Ghahreman is preparing an unique holiday meal featuring gourmet selections with culinary influences from around the world.

The three-course, pre-fixed dinner is priced starting at $52, excluding beverage, tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 949-715-9888 or visiting sapphirelaguna.com. The Christmas Eve dinner menu can be viewed online.

Additionally, Sapphire Pantry is preparing a “Holiday To-Go” selection for guests who want to enjoy a gourmet meal at home.

All orders must be placed by 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, and can be made by calling 949-715-9889. Orders will be available for pick up on Monday, Dec. 24.
