Eighteen citizens graduated from the 23rd Laguna Beach Police Department Citizen Academy Thursday, Dec. 8.

They join the ranks of 447 alumni, who enroll in the 12-week course. Participants learn the department’s history and current operations, including tours of the county and local jail and a trip to the firing range.
