AIDS Services Foundation Orange County (ASF) will roll out the red carpet for the Red Ball II on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Laguna Beach’s Festival of Arts starting at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception and dinner followed by a Hollywood-themed song and dance spoof entitled “Fois Graaes.”

Star of the show is Jason Graae who got his start on Broadway in “Forever Plaid”. Proceeds are designated for ASF’s client services.

“The theme is ‘Hollywood Royalty’ and will include a moving tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, one of the first celebrities to publicly advocate on behalf of people with HIV/AIDS and who personally supported ASF Red Ball II will be a glamorous evening event that will remind our guests of the glory days of Hollywood,” said Ken Jillson, a Laguna Beach resident and ASF founding board member who is helping plan the fundraiser.

ASF, launched in 1985, was supported by the annual “Big Splash” fund raising event that got its start around the backyard pool in the home of Jillson and partner Al Roberts. Last year ASF started the Red Ball. Annually, ASF helps provide an array of services to more than 1,600 people and their families that are either living with HIV or are impacted by HIV disease.
