The Laguna Hills Little League Angels recently hosted Laguna Beach majors division team Rotary to Friday Night Lights.
Rotary’s Sam Kluver got the scoring going with a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded, with Zach Bonnin recording a run. Lance Detweiler continued the good fortune for Rotary, hitting a line drive into center, scoring another run.
Rotary’s pitcher Brooks Hogenauer did his job, keeping the Angels scoreless through the first two innings.
Rotary came alive again in the third, working through the order. The inning culminated with a triple by Hogenauer, scoring three RBIs.
The Angels got on the board with a Hunter Kencley home run, and rallied with four runs in the fifth, but it was not enough as Rotary took the game, 9-5.
