For the sixth consecutive year, United Studios of Self Defense Laguna Beach participated in the American Cancer Society’s 24-hour Relay for Life walk to fight cancer. The local martial arts studio’s 20-member team raised more than $1,300 for the cause.
“For me personally, this event means a lot, with so many of my friends and family members affected by cancer. I look forward to this event every year,” said owner and instructor Jeff Kash.
The studio offered martial arts instruction at the event. The USSD team enjoyed tacos donated by La Sirena Grill, a neighbor in the Albertson’s shopping center where the studio offers after-school classes.
