Editor,
As the recent fire broke out in the canyon, I cruised up Poplar Street to see if I could see the fire.
Myself and approximately 20 others observed a fire truck trying to navigate up the fire road behind the Pageant of the Masters to access the fire.
The truck was no match for the slope. After several attempts with different approaches (fast, slow, staying to the left side/right side) the fire truck had to back down and abandoned further attempts.
What’s the purpose of a fire access road if the fire trucks are unable to use it?
