In “Slow-Burning Debate on Open Space Heats Up,” about Measure CC, the Nov. 2 article inaccurately reported that the measure specified the size of parcels that could potentially be acquired as open space should the initiative pass.

The range of two to 80 acres came from the proponents’ description of all the remaining parcels within city limits of undeveloped hillsides that would meet open-space criteria, i.e., resources that possess aesthetic and recreational value or provide vital wildlife and vegetative habitat as specified in the language of the measure. Lot size is not specified in the measure itself.

The Indy regrets the error.
