Celebrate with an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

All are invited to the 10th annual Laguna Beach Interfaith Thanksgiving service at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ- Latter-day Saints, 682 Park Ave.

The sponsors, the Laguna Beach Interfaith Council, will also be accepting monetary donations and canned food to benefit the Laguna Food pantry.

 

Christian Science Church hosts Thanksgiving Service

The public is welcome at annual Thanksgiving service, which will be held at the Christian Science Church, 635 High Dr., at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24.

The hour-long service will be conducted by Jane Morton and Judith Frutig, first and second readers, respectively. The church is led by lay members and has no official clergy.

Musicians supporting the service are organist Douglas Eastman, who will play the Moeller organ, and Robert Hoyt, who will sing.

Following the Thanksgiving lesson sermon, Christian Scientists will be invited to express individual gratitude for God’s blessings. No collection is taken.

Sponsor a Feast for a Marine

Organizers of a Thanksgiving dinner at Waterman’s Harbor Restaurant in Dana Point are still hoping to recruit sponsors to provide dinner for a Marine and or a Marine family.
