We, the family of Officer Jon Coutchie, would like to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the LBPD, the LBFD, the Laguna Beach business community and to the entire city of Laguna Beach for their wonderful, loving support, thoughtfulness and, for many, their tireless personal effort and dedication to honoring our son, Officer Jon Coutchie as well as for their amazing caring support in helping us cushion our infinite sorrow.
Our thanks as well to all the first responders, the entire law enforcement communities, the firefighters, and even the border patrol who paid their respects to their fellow fallen officer.
In retrospect, it explains why Jon, after serving his country in four deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, chose to return to Orange County where he grew up. He loved this place and the people here, and it is obvious to us that you have loved him in return. Thank you.
