Beauty pageant winners and an “American Idol” contestant turned out with city dignitaries last week to welcome the opening of The Foundation skin care studio in Laguna Beach last week.

The Foundation’s owner, Lisa G Artistry, a makeup artist and skin care specialist for 17 years, opened a skin care and tanning studio at 31752 S. Coast Highway. “Makeup should be fun, not a challenge and it should make us feel beautiful! When we look good, we feel a inner confidence that shows,” the studio owner said in a statement. “Proper skincare and treatments don’t have to be out of reach…little things like facials, microdermabrasion and peels can create a youthful radiance to your skin!” she said.
