Public Relations with a Side of Yum
Laguna local Melinda Morgan Kartsonis, founder of Morgan Marketing and Public Relations, is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
Morgan-Kartsonis has donated more than $100,000 worth of pro bono work to many organizations, including Human Options, The American Cancer Society, Share Our Strength, and St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church.
She patronizes many local events including Concerts in the Park, Artwalk, performances at Laguna Playhouse and the the sights and sounds of the Festival of Arts.
With a specialty in food public relations, Morgan-Kartsonis created her dream office in Irvine with a built in test kitchen where she develops recipes for clients, a unique capability for a public relations agency.
Morgan Marketing is also known for its signature chocolate chip cookies that are baked in the test kitchen daily.
Hotel Appoints New General Manager
Rachel Tejeda has been appointed general manager of The Laguna Cliffs Inn, the latest addition to Classic Hotels & Resorts’ Coastal California Collection.
Tejeda will lead the 36-room hotel’s relaunch. A post-summer renovation is expected to be completed by 2015.
With 10 years in the hospitality business, Tejeda worked at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park and most recently as the assistant general manager at The Inn at Laguna Beach, a nearby sister property.
