Our small city was fortunate to have world-class musicians in residence this past week, playing challenging, beautiful, and mysterious music.
The Laguna Beach Music Festival brought the string quartet, Brooklyn Rider, together with some very special guests from Iran, Japan, and Los Angeles to our schools, theaters, and in private homes for some incredible, and memorable experiences.
I send much gratitude to the Festival and to the generous artists for an amazing week of exceptional music. How great it was to see many young, new audience members excited and inspired by what they heard, perhaps experiencing the global culture that is their reality in musical form. The performances were a rare treat of high quality and relevant content, and the collaborative efforts to create the festival were truly professional.
Congratulations, I’m already looking forward to next year!
