Cub Scout Pack 35 of Webelos Scouts and their siblings and parents visited the new lifeguard headquarters on Main Beach.
Capt. Tom Trager served as tour guide, pointing out state-of-the-art technology, sharing fun anecdotes and showing artifacts and photos of historical significance to the department.
The scouts were able to satisfy their curiosities about what was behind the black out windows facing the beach. Captain Trager informed the scouts they were the first group of kids to visit the new facility, an unofficial badge that will last a lifetime.
