Wednesday, July 14

Lewd conduct. 1000 block of Gaviota. 6:59 p.m. A white male was reportedly naked from the waist down and going through people’s belongings. The man appeared to be under the influence of drugs. When officers attempted to take him to the hospital for medical clearance, he ran away while still handcuffed. He was eventually taken back into custody. Tyler Anthony Williamson, 20, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and resisting an executive officer. He was held on a $1,500 bail.

Thursday, July 15

Traffic stop. 1300 block of S. Coast Hwy. 3:04 p.m. Salvador Ochoa, 40, was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, drug possession, and drug paraphernalia. He was held on a $500 bail.

Pedestrian stop. 200 block of Broadway. 8:07 a.m. A man refused to identify himself to officers and walked away. David Allen Kraft, 63, was arrested on suspicion of false identification and resisting arrest. He was held on $1,000 bail.

Child endangerment. 6:47 p.m. Officers stopped a gray Nissan Altima. Melinda Rebecca Barton, 27, was arrested on a San Bernardino County warrant for burglary and traffic warrants. Children were in the vehicle during the investigation. Barton was also arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment. She was held on a $102,500 bail for these charges.

Friday, July 16

Drunk driving. North Coast Highway and Broadway. 10:13 p.m. A motorcyclist was downed after a collision but conscious. Southbound highway traffic was stopped at Broadway. The driver of a white BMV was investigated for DUI. Eva Krystyna Rubin, 54, was arrested on suspicion of DUI causing injury. She was held on a $100,000 bail.

Saturday, July 17

Physical fight. 400 block of S. Coast Hwy. 12:25 p.m. A man was reported for hitting the reporting party’s friend with glass and hitting his own girlfriend. The suspect reportedly ran from the location. Johnny Jianqing Zhu, 48, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He was held on a $25,000 bail.

Sunday, July 18

Suspicious vehicle. 500 block of S. Coast Hwy. 4:15 a.m. A homeless man in a white Volkswagen was reported for stealing a Gatorade from a store. Officers held the man at gunpoint when he didn’t exit the vehicle. Christopher Esquinka, 28, was arrested on suspicion of joyriding and receiving stolen property. He was held on a  $40,000 bail.
