Vehicle burglary. 31800 block of Eighth Ave. 9:48 a.m. Someone broke into a locked vehicle and stole high-end purses, shoes, and sunglasses valued at $20,000.
Grand theft. 1300 block of S. Coast Hwy. 1:13 p.m. Make up, jewelry, clothing and perfume valued at $1,500 was stolen from a patient in a recovery center.
Fraud. 500 block of Forest Ave. 3:44 p.m. A resident reported identity theft.
Traffic collision. 300 block of N. Coast Hwy. 9:20 p.m. Pierce Holden Romanow, 21, of Laguna Beach, was arrested for suspicion of felony DUI in the wake of a two-car collision where one of the occupants in the car driven by Romanow suffered a broken collar bone. Occupants in the other car escaped injury. Bail was set at $100,000 bail.
Tuesday, May 23
Fraud. 1300 block of La Mirada St. 12:38 p.m. A resident’s identity was used to open up accounts.
Fraud. Lagunita Drive. 1:13 p.m. A resident’s identity was used to open credit for purchase of a Playstation 4.
Child abuse. 31800 block of Coast Hwy. 6:39 p.m. A father reported abrasions on the back of his 4-year-old daughter after being with her mother. The incident is under investigation.

Stolen vehicle. N. Coast Hwy. 4:14 p.m. Isidro Rojas, Jr., 23, of, Santa Ana, was arrested for suspicion of auto theft and held for $20,000 bail.
Thursday, May 25
Traffic stop. Vista del Sol 1:47 a.m. A 30-year-old Costa Mesa man was cited for DUI.
Stolen vehicle. Laguna Canyon Road. 8:11 a.m. John Elton Aguirre, 42, of Mission Viejo, was arrested for suspicion of auto theft and held for $20,000 bail.
Friday, May 26
Traffic stop. Cleo St. 12:07 a.m. A 27-year-old Los Angeles man was cited for DUI and two misdemeanor drug charges.
Burglary. 1800 block of S. Coast Hwy. 10 a.m. The register of a store was emptied.
Property. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Rd. A wooden carved sculpture was picked out of a river bed.
Traffic stop. 500 block of Forest Ave. 2 a.m. A 27-year-old Laguna Beach man was cited for DUI.
Occupied vehicle. 600 block of Cliff Dr. 4 a.m. The day before a Dana Point woman’s 34th birthday she was arrested for DUI.
Saturday, May 27
Traffic collision. 31100 block of Coast Hwy. 4 p.m. A 60-year-old bicyclist suffered a head injury in a collision with a vehicle.
Stolen vehicle. Laguna Canyon Road. 10:59 p.m. Miguel Rafael Sanchez, 19, of Orange, was arrested for suspicion of auto theft.
Sunday, May 28
Traffic stop. Coast Hwy. 5:45 a.m. Michelle Lynn Barker, 25, of Aliso Viejo, was arrested for suspicion of DUI, her third offense in 10 years.
DUI. North City Limits. 6:38 p.m. A 49-year-old San Clemente woman was cited for DUI.
Traffic stop. 200 block of N. Coast Hwy. 9:30 p.m. Andrew Hatami, 57, of San Diego, was cited for suspicion of DUI, his second.
Monday, May 29
Vandalism. 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Drive. 8:48 a.m. Sarah Maria Beach was arrested for suspicion of felony vandalism for allegedly smashing a flat screen TV with a broom handle.
Vehicle burglary. 200 block of High Drive. 1:27 p.m. Thieves took a suitcase with clothes valued at $5,000 after smashing the windows of a Mercedes.
