Police detained six teen-agers from Lake Forest who left a companion showing signs of an overdose at a home on Tia Juana Street and then fled last Saturday, March 5, about 7:48 p.m.

Occupants of the home called for paramedics, who transported the 15-year-old female victim for treatment, said Sgt. Louise Callus, though further details were unavailable.

The other juveniles, who admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana, said they fled because they were scared, Callus said. All six were subsequently released to their parents. A juvenile investigator will follow up, she said.
