The third annual Tour de Coop, a free, self-guided bicycle tour of backyard chicken coops and sustainable gardens in Laguna Beach, takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Sunday, Nov. 8.
Register to participate on the Facebook page, “Laguna Beach Tour de Coop”. Check in between 9-10 a.m. at 487 Shadow Lane for refreshments and a map to the participating back yard coops. Learn everything you always wanted to know about keeping backyard chickens in “coop talk” at 9:30 a.m.
Laguna Cyclery is providing discounted bike rentals and tune-ups to Tour de Coop participants and Transition Laguna will lead a guided 10-12 mile bike tour starting at 10 a.m. on Shadow Lane.
Join neighbors and new friends to see how backyard chickens fit into a sustainable garden with composting, worm bins, organic gardening and water catchment all working together.
