Weekend Sale At Laguna Art Museum
The Laguna Art Museum is offering a 10 percent discount Friday through Sunday, Nov. 23-25 in the refurbished store on all purchases. Museum members receive 20% off.
The museum has revamped its store under the direction of Executive Director Malcolm Warner and new volunteer store manager Michele Monda with an eye toward selling affordable, portable, and local giftware that reflects the nature of Laguna Beach, branded museum merchandise, art and design items from local artists, museum publications, and books on California art generally.
The store is open Friday through Tuesday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Thursday until 9 p.m.
Toys For Tots Comes With Incentive
Pacific Edge hotel’s Deck restaurant hosts a Toys for Tots drive, effective until Tuesday, Dec. 18, earning guests who donate a new toy a free appetizer or 20 percent off a guestroom.
The Deck is located at 647 S. Coast Highway.
Making Original Cards at an Art Party
Join the annual Arty Party at the Laguna Beach Community Center on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., a hands-on, card-creating fundraiser. Participants and attendees make and take home original greeting cards.
All proceeds go to Art4Kids, Inc., the brainchild of art instructor Pam Schader with the aim of providing art materials to shelters, hospitals serving children, victims of domestic violence, homeless children, and the underprivileged.
Reservations are required by Wednesday, Dec. 5. The minimum suggested donation is $30 per person. Register by check before Dec. 5 to Art4Kids, Inc., P.O. Box 2452, Newport Beach, CA 92659.

New Menu Spices Up Restaurant
Sapphire Laguna has introduced a new “Spice Plates” menu featuring gourmet bites with loads of flavor.
The small plates, such short rib poutine, duck confit fried rice, Swiss chard quesadilla, oxtail taco, bacon wrapped-kimchi hotdog, fried chicken liver, crispy fish taco, and steamed Kobe cheese sliders, are served daily at the bar beginning at 4 p.m.
