Artists Republic 4 Tomorrow is presenting new work from the female artists collective Splendor Device from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, with the exhibit on display through March 30, at 210 N. Coast Highway.

The new work entitled “This Wilde Abyss” will include work from 18 of the 70-member collective, woman from across the globe who are influenced by themes of the natural and supernatural, mythology, history, science, and the occult.

LOCA Presents Artist Residency

 Laguna Outreach for Community Arts (LOCA) is presenting their new artist in residence program at the Pacific Edge Hotel on Thursday, March 7 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at a pre-Art Walk reception.

The event is followed by an art event on Tuesday, March 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for guests ages 21 and up. Reception will include hospitality from The Deck, live painting demonstrations by Doug Stotts, and a drawing to win a hotel stay.

The Hugo Rivera Gallery opens to the public Saturday, March 2, with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. at 550 S. Coast Highway.

The contemporary art gallery features a mix of acrylic, lime stone plaster and mixed media art pieces by Hugo Rivera and Juan Z. Cervantes.

Designer Adam Neeley recently received two vision awards from the Manufacturers and Jewelry Suppliers of America.

Neeley, a local jeweler and gallery owner at 352 N. Coast Highway, received first place for professional design excellence, and first place in gold distinction for his earrings entitled “Spectra,” gradations of gold set with rainbow moonstones.

The public is invited to a 6:30 p.m. reception and lecture March 1 with award winning designer Andrew Byrom at Laguna College of Art and Design.

Sandstone Gallery, at 384A N Coast Highway, hosts “Free Roaming”, the abstract paintings by Lynn Welker, and “Mindscapes”, the mixed-media paintings of Mada Leach, March 6 – April 1.

Also exhibiting are contemporary artists KL Heagen, Howard Hitchcock, Ann Kim, Sunny Kim, Anne Moore, and Victoria Porcello.
