The Laguna Beach Anglers are hosting their eighth annual Fish Fry this Saturday, Nov. 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at Bluebird Park, which serves as a benefit for Glennwood House of Laguna Beach.

The $10 per person Fish Fry is served pot luck style and features fish caught by local fishermen and a buffet of chicken skewers, beans, rice and salads prepared or contributed by local restaurants. These include Adolfo’s Mexican Food, GG’s Bistro, Mozambique Steakhouse and the White House.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own favorite dish to add to the buffet as well as a beach chair, blanket and favorite beverage. Kids under 10 eat free.

In addition to live music by Laguna’s Standown, Nick I, Eric Henderson, Ron Pringle and friends, the event includes raffles and children’s activities.

This year’s Fish Fry is dedicated to the late Jerry Piper, who ran Laguna Beach Auto Parts and as a former Angler helped start the fish fry tradition with Steve Battaglia, Vic Ireland and Alfred Dee DeVito.

Now, in addition sharing their catch with the community, the event benefits Glennwood, which provides housing for adults with developmental disabilities.
