St. Catherine of Siena Parish School will host a digital safety seminar open to the public at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, n the school’s gymnasium.
Author Danielle Tiano will serve as guest speaker, providing expert commentary on children’s digital safety and cyberbullying.
The seminar, entitled Children and Technology: Cell Phones, Computers and the Middle School Student, is designed to tackle the topic of technology and its effect on children and the need for protocol and monitoring. It will assist parents and educators begin discussions about usage surrounding the Internet and all access devices including computers, smart phones and tablets. Parents and community members will also learn to about the rapidly growing problem and epidemic of cyberbullying.
