Laguna Beach resident and auto racer Michael Lewis completed four successful days of testing with the PREMA Powerteam Formula 3 Italia program in Spain at the Barcelona and Valencia racetracks earlier this month. Lewis recorded excellent times overall, including the fastest times in certain categories, and showed improvement over the course of the testing, according to Rene Rosin, PREMA Powerteam principal.
In addition to testing in Spain, Lewis also ran time tests at three other tracks in Italy.
A student at California State University, Fullerton, Lewis plans to compete in the Formula 3 Italia series next year.
Lewis has competed in Formula BMW for the past two years and won the FBMW Americas Rookie Championship in 2009.Firebrand Media LLC wants comments that advance the discussion, and we need your help to accomplish this mission.
