Boys Award Scholarships at LBHS Convocation

Graduating Laguna Beach High School seniors Grant Barton and Makena Collins were each awarded a scholarship of $1,250 by 10 Boys Who Care, eighth-grade friends who fund raise money to grant scholarships.

After reading 20 essays from applicants, the group chose Grant and Makena for lessons they learned from cross country and softball, respectively.

The benefactors, who made their award at last week’s LBHS Convocation, began their efforts as seventh graders and hope to continue the tradition through their own high school graduation in 2019.
