Breakers Dominate the Court

Boys Volleyball (7-3, 3-0)

As expected, Laguna continued to sweep through the Orange Coast League last week starting with an easy 25-15, 25-13, 25-15 victory over Saddleback (0-13, 0-2) on Tuesday, March 31, at McKnight Gym on the Saddleback Campus. Tyler Alter led in kills with 12 followed by Dane Olson with 11. On Thursday, April 2, at Dugger Gym, the Breakers recorded 24 service aces in a 25-8, 25-18, 25-10 sweep of Estancia (7-9, 1-2) with Isaac Wulff recording six aces and Adam Lythgoe five. The victory was the team’s 61st straight league match victory and ran their consecutive set victories to 155.

Breakers return to the court on Tuesday, April 14, with Godinez and will be meeting a very tough challenge at home on Friday, April 24, when they host Dana Hills, currently ranked fifth in Division 1, third in the county and first in the South Coast League. Varsity should start about 5:30.
