Soka Earns High Ranking
Soka University, a four-year liberal arts college and graduate school in Aliso Viejo, ranked in the top 50 in the latest US News & World Report’s “Best Colleges 2017” ranking.
The college was ranked in the top 50 among national liberal arts colleges, and among the top 10 for best value.
About 40 percent of Soka students are foreign-born, making the school one of the most diverse in the country. Collegechoice.net also ranked Soka as No. 3 for happiest freshmen nationally.

New Seeds Sown in School Gardens
The Laguna Beach Garden Club this week will donate $3,360 towards gardens in three Laguna Beach public schools.
Top of the World and El Morro Elementary and Thurston Middle School will each receive $1,120 towards school gardens. Funds will help with the purchase of plants and materials for another planting season, says a club statement.
